A desktop support specialist usually provides help and advice to users of computer software and hardware. A desktop support specialist may work within a company’s information technology department or as a member of the help desk staff at a computer support company. They may also work with individual personal users or as an independent contractor.

An MCSA in Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 validates your ability to identify and resolve the cause of desktop application, network, and security issues. An MCSA in this area validates your ability to support and maintain systems and mobile devices that run Windows 7 & Windows 8.1.
